The Course

The Course is situated in the trail system of the Community Forest bordering the city of Cranbrook, BC. The East Kootenay’s of BC is increasingly well-known as a mountain bike destination providing riders with endless fast & swoopy single track trails, with a selection of technical rocky terrain and of course some long & thrilling descents down the Purcell and Rocky Mountains. The lap for 6hr XC solos & 2-rider relay teams is ridden in a counter-clockwise direction, was designed in 2014, climbs 365 m per lap, is all singletrack with lots of fast & flowing downhill sections. The popular 30-min & 60-min Kids & Youth Stix races take riders on a 1.4 km loop of single & double track trails. The BASE of the event is the large paved parking lot of the College Of The Rockies (COTR).
